Our Gurukulam
UbhayaBharati Kanya Gurukulam is a gurukulam for girls, primarily run by women. It is a fully residential gurukulam with day scholar option for local residents. There is no tuition fee. We provide boarding and lodging as well at no cost to the students.
Our focus is to produce Vidhushis (women experts) in various fields of bharatiya shastras, such as nyaya shastra, vyakarana shastra, natya shastra, ayurveda, sangeeta shastra, jyotisha, samskrita sahitya etc.
We also give importance to following our traditional practices as prescribed in our shastras. This helps the girls develop as well-rounded individuals, who lead through example and take bharateeya knowledge, tradition and culture to the next generation.
To ensure the safety of the girls, we have taken the following steps:
- A woman chaperone (warden and/or acharya) is available at all times with the girls, even during playtime, library time etc.
- Smart-phone / screen use is very restricted in the gurukulam.
- There will be specific times for girls to call their family members using a button phone.
- There are security cameras in all entryways and public spaces.
- No male visitors will be allowed beyond the front room.
